Sharia’a Advisor, Sakana Holistic Housing Solutions

Sheikh Osama Mohammed Saad Bahar is the Sharia’a Advisor for Sakana Holistic Housing Solutions. He is currently Head of Sharia’a Compliance at Al Salam Bank. Earlier, Sheikh Osama was Sharia’a Compliance Officer at ABC Islamic Bank and Manager of the Sharia’a Department. He was Secretary of the Sharia’a Board of Shamil Bank of Bahrain from 1994 to 2005.

Sheikh Osama has specialised in Islamic finance since 2002 when he became a Sharia’a adviser with Khaleej Finance and Investment and has since developed an expertise in structuring Islamic finance products, preparing Sharia’a contracts as well as conducting research papers on Islamic banking and finance.

Since graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Sharia’a from Prince Abdul Qader University of Islamic Studies in Algeria, Sheikh Osama went on to become an officer at Bahrain’s Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs, and is also Librarian Secretary at the Ahmed Al Fateh Islamic Centre Library. Sheikh Osama is currently pursuing a Masters Degree with Al Emam Al Awzae University, Beirut.
